Na’auao pathway

“We don’t learn new tools,… we remember them..”

NA’AUAO

Na’auao: an enlightened mind, instruction, learning, wisdom, knowledge. Literally, daylight mind

Na’au, the seat of thought, the internal parts; hence, the moral nature, the heart, the seat of the moral powers

Ao, light, grow light; enlightened; to regain consciousness. An enlightened mind

What is Naʻauao?

In Hawaiian ways of knowing, the naʻau is understood as the seat of knowledge, intuition, feeling, and inner knowing. It is the center from which we perceive and experience life. Ao can be understood as light, enlightenment, instruction, and the process of coming into greater awareness. Together, naʻauao speaks to an enlightened mind and heart a wisdom that emerges through learning, experience, observation, and practice. Naʻauao.. The word itself reflects a deeper Hawaiian understanding of wisdom. ‘Ike (Knowledge) that is lived, embodied, and integrated into daily life.

Naʻauao reminds me of my kuleana… to continue learning, and to embody what I have learned and share it in ways that support the growth and empowerment of others.

The Intention of This Pathway

My intention of the creation of the Naʻauao Pathway is to create a space for remembrance, growth, and embodiment. It is a space for those who feel called to reconnect with their authentic selves, deepen their understanding of life, and explore their own path with greater awareness and intention. Through foundational teachings through Hawaiian Life-Ways, guidance, reflection, and lived experience, it becomes a space where individuals are invited to open the heart and mind to broader possibilities, while learning to makawalu (to see through multiple perspectives and layers of understanding). Na’auao is about creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can strengthen their relationship with themselves, navigate challenges with greater clarity, and remember the wisdom that already lives within.

As someone who has walked a similar path, I offer guidance from a place of compassion, experience, and deep respect for each person's unique journey.

Na’auao Pathways

Below are 5 areas OF NA’AUAO

Breath and vocal toning / chant

Vocal toning means using your voice to harmonize and balance your cells and your energetic pathways. Vocal toning is known for its steady state of one tone per exhale. Chanting mantras and vowels are known to heal, open and harmonize and uses rhythm, The human voice is a sacred source of sound vibration and can bring additional power to healing work. Vocal toning has unique frequencies that can only come through vocal cords regardless of the tone or pitch used.

Practicing the art of storing breath. This builds mana, energy and personal power to overcome life’s challenges

Practicing the art of active meditation. Using repetitive vowels, sounds and chants, to manifest personal desires and enhance health through toning while revitalizing internal organs

Practice the art of Grounded Intention: Opens pathway to Ho’ike (enlightenment)

Everything begins with the hā, the sacred breath. Breath is the first gift of life, and when united with the voice it becomes vibration. This vibration travels through the body, the land, the waters, the ancestors, and all that exists in relationship. An Oli is meant to be felt through the mana of vibration and what is held in the heart.

Oli is “The Living Breath of Creation”
Oli is not merely a chant. It is a living expression of consciousness carried through the breath. Before words were written, knowledge was remembered through sound, vibration, and direct relationship with the world around us. Oli is one of the ways our kūpuna preserved ʻike, as something to be experienced and embodied.

The Hawaiian vowels are the heart of this practice. Each vowel carries its own resonance and quality. As the breath moves through each sound, it creates subtle shifts within us and in the space around us. The power of an Oli is found not only in the definition of the words, but in the living vibration they awaken. The voice becomes an instrument that brings harmony between the inner and outer worlds.

An Oli also reveals itself in layers. While each chant has its literal meaning, its deeper understanding continues to unfold throughout a lifetime. As our naʻau becomes more refined and our awareness grows, the same Oli speaks differently. It may guide us in one season of life, offer healing in another, and later reveal wisdom that had always been present but could not yet be seen. The Oli has not changed; our relationship with it has.
To practice Oli is to remember that knowledge is not something we possess.. it is something we continually enter into relationship with. Through breath, sound, and presence, we become participants in the ongoing conversation between ourselves, our ancestors, the natural world, and the sacred. In that remembering, the chant is no longer something we do; it becomes something we are.

The Native language of Hawai’i, is a reminiscent of the Mu language. Mu. The sustaining sounds (or resonance) of vowels causes a vibration within the body and the major etheric energy centers. We all have this memory stored within. In my own lineage, many of my kupuna were experts in oli (chants). Through years of practice, I have been a witness that with voice and breath alone, I have the ability to manipulate energy, heal the body, and command the elements. Here, I will help you understand the basics and foundational skills to awaken what you already have within through breath, vocal toning and sound.

If you would like to dive deeper into understanding these concepts and learn to connect with your own inner vibration through breath and sound, this na’auao is for you.

Living aloha

“Aloha is the intelligence with which we meet life.” (Olana Kaipo Ai)

How do we bring forth more aloha and compassion? Through taking action! Learning to move out of the western ways of thinking and returning to the ancient sacredness within all of us. Building a stable foundation and pilina (relationships) with ourselves, the land and the roots from which we sprout.

I believe it is time to go deeper into ourselves.. to return to our heart and let go of old patterns. We do not need to reach back deep into our past or travel back in time through lifetimes. Everything we need to learn is in this lifetime. Opportunities will constantly recycle into our lives, through the natural “death and rebirth” process through daily experiences. It’s the choices that we make each and everyday that make things easier. We can create a life full of fear, or we can create a life full of love. These are our only 2 choices in every moment of the NOW.. The first step to creating a life of love, is to ACCEPT that we are the creators of our reality. Once we fully accept that, we can learn to SURRENDER deeper into the cosmic flow of existence and BECOME One with ALL that we are.

If you would like to take this journey with me to ho’oulu owau iho (Self Expansion), this na’auao is for you.

ho’oponopono

Making things right.. identifying inner conflict, cycles, patterns and thought forms.. resolving differences in the family or community..

A deeply rooted cultural tradition in ancient Hawaiian Lifeways has the power to heal internal, ohana (family) and community conflicts. We refer to it as Ho’oponopono. To make things pono (right).

In ancient times, Ho'ponopono sessions were usually run by the elder in the family. If there was conflict involving the elder or the elder could not remain neutral during a session, outside support was requested. Either by another elder from a different lineage or by community kahuna that were masters in assisting others in resolving conflict. Making things right, was an important element of the life of ohana, community and Hawaiian lifeways. No illness or problem was dealt with, with just medicines and prayer alone. It usually involved deeper conflicts and “karmic cycles” within the person, that included family lineages through all space and time.

The foundation of Ho’oponopono is to free the Self from everything that is not Love. This means freeing the Self from problems, anger, hatred, frustration, sadness, illness, jealousy, intolerance, … These are old patterns of thought and memories hiding in the subconscious. Ho’oponopono is a process that frees the Self from this burden and allows it to become again what it was… a reflection of Love and Light.

When get out of the “victim mentality” and move into acceptance of choices, past thoughts, feelings, words and deeds, and that our present life and decision making is colored by memories from the past, we begin to see how the Ho’oponopono technique can change our whole life.

By identifying the “pohaku” (stones) that are taking up space in our Bowl of Light, we can remove the negative effects of thoughts, words, emotions, and deeds, from previous incarnations and from our current life, cleansing us spiritually, mentally, and physically through a process of repentance, forgiveness, and transmutation, and anchor into the spiritual foundations and understandings of Divine Will.

If you would like to learn this process to use for yourself, your family or community, this na’auao is for you.

Ho‘ola Loa Quantum Healing

In society, the idea of “needing healing” has often been misunderstood. Deep within we hold this belief that we are broken. Ho’ola Loa carries a different perspective which translates to "the act of already being healed.” The energy and vibration of the words invite us to shift our perspective. Rather than viewing ourselves as broken, we have the understanding that at our core, we are whole and complete. With this understanding, it empowers us as “healers” to carry the mindset of realignment, restoration and rebalancing rather than repair.

This na’auao pathway invites individuals to explore and embrace simple yet powerful energy alignment and clearing techniques rooted in ancient wisdom, cultivating a deeper understanding of energy and vibration that can assist others on their journey. As we engage with the Higher Self of both the giver and the receiver, we create a sacred space for transformation. Through this na’auao, individuals will gain confidence in supporting others, learn to connect with the quantum field to “untangle patterns”, and harmonize the Physical, Etheric, Astral, Emotional, Mental, and Causal Bodies. Through this na’auao, individuals will understand fundamental concepts and techniques that can be used immediately on themselves and others.

If you feel called to remember who you are as a “healer” and would like to ignite this innate ability, this na’auao is for you.

Personal empowerment and life coaching

This na’auao has been created for individuals who are ready to step into their power and embrace the fullness of their potential. A place for those ready to move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.

In this na’auao, we will take a journey through self-discovery, where the first step is to identify limiting beliefs, fears, or external circumstances, that may be holding individuals back from manifesting the highest potential.  As you gain confidence and clarity, you will be encouraged to express your true essence and create meaningful change in your life.

In a world that often feels overwhelming, this pathway offers a safe container for expansion, reflection, and transformation. If you would like to take this journey with me, this na’auao is for you.
